Anna Torelli’s Silences

There is a sector of visual writing that does not have a global historical category, foundation or name. It is the area of para-musical writing. The use of musical scripts purely for visual purposes. The rarity of critical literary connections and references on the subject has not helped divulge knowledge of this type of experience which is generally relegated to new types of writing. However, this absence of critical exchange has left Anna Tonelli total freedom to focus and use her imagination to find a way to express introversion in her poetry.

The protagonist of all her phonic-spatial research is Silence.

She illustrates Silence with an extremely simple emblem, ever present in music and potentially infinite: the pentagram.
